"Winery has been in its present form since 2009 when the current owners met. They decided to pursue the centuries-old tradition of the Rajhrad Winery, which from the very beginning the Order of Benedictines. "
Wines are produced and aged in historic cellars, which were built in 1692. Current annual production goes around 100 000 bottles. Wines from the Rajhrad Monastic winery can be found in wine shops and various hotels and restaurants and also the private and corporate clients have a significant share of the overall sales too.
Our new and modern winery uses technology, which is utmostly respectful to nature and its laws. The winery manufactures grapes grown in integrated production, methods depicting the characters of each terroir. Our goal is that the wine reflects the influence of the local geological subsoil, soil composition, moisture, precipitation, altitude, but also the tradition and art of the winemaker.
The wines from Rajhrad and the surrounding area are available for your enjoyment in two series, Classic and Exclusive, while both include mostly the attributive wines of the late harvest kind. The wines for the individual lines are selected through their cultivation during the growth period in the vineyard, but they are finally included only following while being matured in cellars.
